The Seeds of Today become the Flowers of Tomorrow…

Dear Sarah Kay friends,
I recall my own childhood like it was only yesterday, do you feel the same? Although they were much simpler times there was so much to look forward to and ways to connect with the earth. The outdoors was our playground and the garden our source of continuous joy and entertainment. Now we have become mothers and grandmothers ourselves and just like you, and we wish to pass on the message and values of Sarah Kay onto our young and inspire them to be healthy and take care of the earth. This message begins from the home…

Here is a guide for building health & wellbeing:

  • Showing both love and affection are paramount. Cuddles and giggles provide a sense of security and confidence for a child to try new things and express how they are feeling. Responding to your baby’s little smiles, gurgling and noises will further encourage their communication skills.
  • Offer your baby a wide choice of healthy food options so they can explore different textures and flavours and become familiar with a varied palette.
  • A sleeping baby is a happy baby. Encourage sleep time with baby massage and soft music. These stimulate your baby’s brain to produce more serotonin (a feel-good chemical) making them more relaxed.
  • Help develop their motor skills using clapping and bouncing games to promote their interest indoors .
  • Introduce them to the great outdoors. Take them for a stroll through the park and let them breathe in the air and increase their awareness of the amazing flora and fauna that surrounds them and become inspired by nature.

Wishing you all good health and happiness always, dear friends!

xoxo
